Jonathan Bourke

Jonathan Bourke is an seasoned media and technology executive with deep technology strategic and operational experience of implementing systems, electronic automation of processes and shared environments worldwide through the application of new and cutting edge exchange, analytics and digital technologies.  Most recently, Jonathan served as the CIO for Global Shared Services of the Interpublic Group, and was previously a Technology Director with CSC. Along his career Jonathan has specialized in creating, developing and delivering innovative cost effective media and advertising solutions worldwide provide the experience and expertise to meet the unique challenges facing the media and advertising world. He studied at the University of Limerick, where he received his BSc with a focus in Computer Systems.

Jamyn Edis
VP, Emerging Technology
Home Box Office (HBO)

Jamyn Edis is the VP of Emerging Technology at HBO. His role is focused on creating strategies and product development opportunities around emerging digital and consumer platforms, and assessing the implications for HBO’s business and technology organizations. Key areas of focus include the impact of new content creation tools, distribution methods and consumer devices - this encompasses online video, social media, mobile applications, next-generation content, gaming, search, digital advertising, sports technology and interactive TV. Additionally, his responsibilities include defining HBO’s R&D and patent process to drive business and technology innovation. Previously, Jamyn worked as a strategy consultant for Accenture's Media & Entertainment Practice in London and New York. His engagements focused on the media, digital convergence and communications space. Clients have spanned the music, videogames, television, publishing, sports, internet, social networking, cable, telematics, consumer electronics, and both fixed and wireless telecoms sectors. Other professional experience has seen Jamyn working in advertising, magazine publishing, film, derivatives research and venture capital in London, Paris, Düsseldorf, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Jamyn holds a BA and MA from Cambridge University, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Christian oversees the business activities of the Island Def Jam Music Group in the online and mobile space. He is also responsible for expanding the company’s business beyond its traditional focus by finding new creative outlets for its artists and building new revenue streams. IDJ artists include Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Bon Jovi, The Killers, Rihanna, Jay-Z and many others. Prior to taking this position, he was EVP, Entertainment at Flycell, one of the world’s leading direct to consumer mobile entertainment companies. Before that he was CEO and co-founder of E-Magine Entertainment, an independent record label. He started his career at BMG Entertainment where he founded the New Technologies department. Christian received his MBA degree from Columbia University in New York.

Al Lieberman

Al Lieberman is the Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Executive Director of the Entertainment Media and Technology Program at New York University’s Stern School of Business. In his current position, Professor Lieberman teaches several courses including in The Marketing of Entertainment Industries. Global Impact of Entertainment, The Business of Producing, Sports Marketing, and a Los Angeles based course called The Craft & Commerce of Cinema. Professor Lieberman has been with NYU Stern for more than six years. His primary research areas of interest include film festivals and entertainment globalization. Before joining NYU Stern, Professor Lieberman served as the executive vice president of Young and Rubicam Direct Response Division and managed the advertising accounts of Fortune 500 companies. He then joined Simon and Schuster as World-Wide Director of Marketing and became Executive Vice President of the company’s Silhouette Books division. Professor Lieberman was also the founder and CEO of Grey Entertainment, an advertising and marketing company whose client roster included Warner Brothers Studios, ABC Entertainment, News American Corp., Harper Collins Publishers and a variety of theater and arts companies. Professor Lieberman received his Bachelor of Science in labor relations from Cornell University and his master’s degree in marketing from NYU Stern.

Kathy Timko
Chief Operating Officer
Canoe Ventures

Kathy was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Canoe Ventures in June 2009. In this role, she works with all of Canoe's lines of business to help ensure that the promise of advanced advertising becomes a reality. Prior to Canoe, she has served in key management roles and board positions in both start-up and mature companies for the past 15 years. Before joining Canoe, Kathy was COO of Carrier Services at IDT where she directed pricing, profit optimization, business metrics reporting and operations. In 2006, she was named COO of IDT Telecom where she oversaw the unit's retail and wholesale businesses and was responsible for product management, technology, engineering and all operations. During her tenure at IDT, Kathy also served as CTO of IDT Telecom, EVP of Technology of IDT Corporation, and COO of the Engineering and Operations Division. Kathy began her career with IDT in 1998 as Vice President of Engineering and Operations and was appointed to the IDT Telecom Board of Directors in 2001. Before joining IDT, Kathy served as EVP of Development and Operations at Call Sciences, a start-up company developing Personal Number Services. Previously, Kathy had worked on communications and software systems for Bellcore; military projects at BBN; and technical and management positions in a variety of companies focusing on the development of energy systems and robotics. Kathy serves as an independent director on the board of Motionbox, Inc. an internet-based personal video sharing services provider. She maintains a strong presence within the community and has been honored by the Resource Center for Women and Their Families for her leadership and philanthropy. Kathy holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and an M.S. in Computer Science from Boston University.

Jamie Voris
Chief Technology Officer, Digital Media Group
National Football League (NFL)

As the Chief Technology Officer for the National Football League's Digital Media Group, Jamie Voris manages all technical aspects of the League's digital initiatives. He oversaw the re-launch of NFL.com and the construction of the platform to operate all 32 club sites, as well as a host of other high-volume, high-visibility projects (including Sunday Night Football Extra with NBC and the Emmy-nominated NFL.com Live). Prior to his tenure at the NFL, Mr. Voris served as the Vice President, Technology for Playboy, where he spearheaded the overhaul and refocusing of its technology infrastructure as well as creation of the company's foundational technology road map.
