Akhtar Badshah

Akhtar administers Microsoft's global community investment and employee programs. Among other projects, he manages Unlimited Potential, a global initiative to promote digital inclusion and increased access to technology skills training in underserved communities. Before joining Microsoft, Akhtar was the CEO and president of Digital Partners Foundation, a Seattle-area nonprofit organization whose mission is to use the digital economy to benefit the poor. He established the organization's core programs in India, Africa, and Latin America, and developed the Digital Partners Social Venture Fund, which supports the expansion of IT-based anti-poverty efforts around the world. Akhtar also helped to develop the Digital Partners Social Enterprise Laboratory, an initiative that mentors and provides seed money to entrepreneurs whose vision and business models use information and communication technologies to empower the poor and their communities. Ahktar is a Board Member of the Council of Foundation, Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC), United Way King County, the Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) and Youth Employment Summit Inc. He is also the chair of the IT Task Force of the Council of Foundations. He also serves on the Advisory Boards of the following organizations: World Affairs Council (Seattle), Santa Clara University Center for Science Technology and Society, University of Washington South Asia Center, and University of Washington Business School. He has co-edited "Connected for Development – Information Kiosks for Sustainability," and authored "Our Urban Future: New Paradigms for Equity and Sustainability," as well as several articles in international journals on Information Communication Technology for Development, megacities and sustainability, housing, and urban development.

Pablo Molina
Chief Information Officer
Georgetown University

Pablo Molina has been Associate Vice President for information technology since 2007 and Campus Chief Information Officer since 2000 at Georgetown University. He is a highly recognized and accomplished professional in the fields of information security and academia, and serves as a consultant on organizational and technology policy issues for some of the most prestigious academic institutions. He regularly speaks at conferences on technology in law and higher education, such as Computer Assisted Legal Instruction, American Bar Association, Bricks and Bytes, American Association of Law Schools, American Association of Law Libraries, and EDUCAUSE. He is the recipient of the 2001 Excellence in Service CALI Award. Pablo serves on national higher education committees such as the Facilities Committee of the ABA's Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar Section and served recently as chair of the EDUCAUSE's Evolving Technologies Committee. In 2001, Pablo Molina created the Law CIO Group, a group of information officers from the top law schools in the United States and the United Kingdom. He was the recipient of the 2006 CIO Magazine Ones to Watch Award and the Standout Achievement Award as Innovator and was recognized in 2007 as one of the Top 40 Under 40 IT Innovators by ComputerWorld. He was nominated for the Mid-Atlantic Information Security Executive of the Year and the National Information Security Executive of the Year awards in 2007. Prior to his work with Georgetown, he served as Director of Information Technology for the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Lecturer/Director of Information Systems for Washington University in Saint Louis School of Law, and Senior Lecturer for the University of Missouri in Saint Louis Business School. Before his career in academia, he was MIS manager at the Saint Louis Zoo. Prior to that, he created and managed a technology company in Madrid, where he also served as editor in chief of multiple computer magazines, authored several books on technology, and taught information technology at the Escuela de Hacienda Publica. Pablo has Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Saint Louis University, has done graduate coursework at the University of Pennsylvania and Washington University in Saint Louis, and is pursuing a Doctorate degree at Georgetown University.

Peter Seremetis

Peter has over 25 years of experience 23 years of experience in the financial services and news media industries. With Lloyd's, he oversees day to day operations and finance alongside the strategic development and oversight of all operational and technology platforms implemented within North America. He began his career at JP Morgan and Smith Barney as a senior quantitative analyst, and spent 15 years at Reuters where he held various positions including Global Head of Customer Migration, Global Head of next Generation Products, and Global Head of CIO. In Reuters he led a number of global transformation programs aimed at aligning teams and bringing in standardization and consistency of service, including codifying the roles and responsibilities of the global offices and ensuring consistently across the whole of the enterprise. He has led operational teams in the US, Geneva, Singapore and London. Peter is a graduate of Boston University and is a CFA.
